VS is now on Android. It has been one of the most requested things on our list for a long time, and VS 2.3.0 is where it lands — a standalone app for Android, released alongside a refresh for Windows, macOS and iOS.
Android brings its own set of challenges when it comes to audio and video performance, and this launch is another step in our commitment to tackling them head-on.
The same VS, minus the plug-in. VS for Android arrives as a standalone app, with all the same features as VS for iOS, except the DAW plug-in, which isn't possible on Android. Performance still has room to grow, and we've got plenty left to learn, but we're committed to getting there.
Android 15 and above. To keep performance as smooth as possible, VS for Android is available only on Android 15 or higher, so it runs on newer, more capable devices.
Your expansion packs come with you. Already own some? Just log into your Imaginando account and they'll be ready to use on Android too.
Free to try. As with all our Android apps, anyone can download and try VS for free. The only limitation is a visible watermark on the visual output.
Windows, macOS and iOS too. Those platforms got a refresh in the same release, with stability improvements and bug fixes.
