Come build the
next instrument.

We make software played by producers, sound designers and visual artists in 42 countries. If you've ever wanted to ship the kind of tools you'd actually use yourself — pull up a chair.

Imaginando is small on purpose. Twelve years in, we're six people. Every product we ship — VS, BAM, DRC, FRMS, LK, TV3 — has been touched by every one of us, end to end. There is no design-handoff phase, no product committee, no quarterly planning theatre. The people who build the thing also use the thing, answer the tickets, and stand behind it.

That model only works if everyone around the table is capable, calm and curious. We hire slowly because of it. We don't have a careers funnel; we have a conversation that sometimes ends in an offer.

If you're between two roles right now, we'd rather you take the other one and stay in touch — good fits don't expire.

If you join us, you'll get more autonomy than is usual, more responsibility than is comfortable, and the kind of feedback loop you only find in companies that actually ship. You'll meet our users — they live in our Discord and in our inbox. You'll see your work in their videos a week after it lands. That's the whole point.

We don't promise free lunches or kombucha taps. We promise work that matters, in a room where decisions get made by the people doing the work.

[ 02 / What you get ]

Four reasons people stay.

No fluff · No ping-pong
01 / PRINCIPLE

Work on tools played by thousands.

Our apps live inside studios, bedrooms and live rigs around the world. Whatever you ship here gets road-tested by real producers within days.

02 / PRINCIPLE

A small room of makers.

Six humans, no middle layer. You'll work next to the people who designed the synth voice, drew the icon, and wrote the response to last week's bug report.

03 / PRINCIPLE

Time to learn the craft.

Audio DSP, granular synthesis, hardware MIDI, cross-platform tooling. Whatever corner of the catalogue you're curious about, there's someone here who knows it.

04 / PRINCIPLE

Calm, focused, analogue pace.

We work in the studio. No standups before noon. Long lunches. The work is serious; the meetings aren't.

[ 05 / How we hire ]

Four steps.
Three weeks.

Same process for every role
day 1I
Send a note

CV plus a short paragraph about the most interesting thing you've shipped. We read everything.

week 1II
Coffee call

30–45 minutes with someone from the team. We'll talk about what you want to build next and how you like to work.

week 2III
Walk the codebase

Walk us through code you're proud of — how you built it, the calls you made, and how you work with your tools (AI included). The goal is to see how you think, not to test you.

week 3IV
Meet the studio

Half a day in Braga (or a long video call) with the team. We make decisions together; nobody gets vetoed in private.

[ Nothing fits, but you're still here ]

Send a spontaneous application anyway.
