Supremejaは、1973年3月22日にミュンヘンで生まれたGotthard Ortnerが立ち上げ、プロデュースする音楽プロジェクトです。幼少期からエレクトロニックミュージック、シンセサイザー、808に影響を受け、1985年に地元クラブでDJ活動を開始、1988年には自身の楽曲制作を始めました。
1994年、Ortnerはマイアミベースとヨーロッパのトランスやテクノをミックスした新しいベースサウンドの創出に貢献し、ベースミュージックを世界中のダンスフロアに呼び戻しました。複数の別名義で楽曲をリリースし、2006年には本格的に復帰、フロリダのベースレーベルのために制作を行い、世界各地でライブパフォーマンスを行っています。
