5 years ago we released DRC - 5 whole years! We almost can’t believe it; there’s been a lot hard work, but a lot of fun too.
DRC is the lovechild of a joint venture between Nuno Santos (Founder / CEO of Imaginando) and Rui Antunes (Analog Repair), and was released to the world in 2016.
The goal was fairly simple; create an authentic virtual analog synthesizer, for both desktop and mobile, that sounded awesome across all devices. We had no idea of the incredible journey that was to come.
In 2017 we started publishing regular content on our YouTube channel, featuring our in-house sound engineer Lucas, to show the true potential of DRC’s power and versatility. What started out as single sound videos, captured from our tiny old office, blossomed into professional, multi-camera tutorial tear-downs of iconic tracks.
Over 140 DRC Sound Design Tutorials and 3 ‘Iconic Sounds’ packs later, Lucas ‘Patch-Master’ Palmeira is still going strong, sculpting an amazing amount of different sounds week after week, proving his skills with a succession of copyright claims.
